My truest and strongest voice is in my artwork -- the pursuit of beauty.          An affirmation of life, I know I am truly present and alive when I'm out on the land painting, playing this duet with nature and God. The wind in my face, bird-songs, frog-songs, flower-fragrances, wind-grass symphonies romancing and caressing me -- the essence of being aliveness. The exhilerating challenge is to keep up with the races and rhythms of the wind-changing grass-textures. The speeding cloud shadows on the land, the "Indy-500" sunsets collapsing into night; stealing, hoarding times of day, the colors, textures of seasons. This is what flows through my veins - these colors, textures, fragrances, rhythms -- this liquor of life.  And  afterward, like sex, feeling cleansed, purged, fulfilled, connected with the ultimate presence. I know, without the slightest doubt, I am fully and completely alive -- an unabashed and gluttonous gleaner and collector of beauty.  Amen.
